Young Authors Program

The Lambda Kappa Omega Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, has a tradition and long history of supporting youth and future leaders. Improving the reading and writing skills of young children is a major goal of our Sorority. In keeping with our tradition, we are pleased to announce the Young Authors Program for 2010.

The Young Authors Program is also supported by The Educational and Charitable Foundation of LKO. We invite students in the second through sixth grades to submit a literary entry for competition. The emphasis for judging is on the quality of the written text. The student may include art work; however, only the text will be judged as part of the selection process.

A winning entry will be selected from each of the grade categories. A winner will be selected from the entries from grades 2-3 and a winner will be selected from grades 4-6.
